WINTER WRUP-CYCLING — NEW COVERING MATERIALS MADE FROM VALUABLE RESOURCES
In the 90’s we introduced WINTAN®, a material made of recycled leather fibres for the first time. This bonded leather looks surprisingly similar, to real leather and is made from tannery waste. The recycled product was the symbolic starting point for WINTER WRUP-CYCLING. This term describes the systematic upcycling of our portfolio. This reduces the use of new resources and actively promotes the circular economy. For the family business, a sustainable approach to the environment and natural resources enjoys a high priority.

WINTER WRUP-CYCLING creates high-quality cover materials from selected, sustainable raw materials and, above all, recycled materials from post-industrial (PIW) and post-consumer waste (PCW). The objective: each product category was to include at least one material made from 100% recycled materials. With this initial goal, the number of WRUP-CYCLED collections has steadily increased. The waste used for them comes from tanneries and the cotton industry. Waste paper, PET waste and even recycled ocean plastic are used to create fine materials with a unique look and feel. These new-generation products feature outstanding material qualities and promise the highest quality in use.
