Everywhere, the world's oceans are threatened by plastic waste. To draw attention to this problem, WINTER & COMPANY has developed a new ocean plastic covering material together with #tide ocean material®.

The company tide ocean SA is based in Basel, Switzerland. In cooperation with social enterprises in Southeast Asia, #tide collects plastic waste that endangers our oceans. In Switzerland, #tide produces granules from it, which is also processed into yarn. WINTER & COMPANY is familiar with woven materials and has designed the book cover material TOILE OCEAN from this ocean plastic. By using a resource that already exists, #tide and WINTER & COMPANY close the cycle of plastic production and save fossil energy such as petroleum. Every m² of TOILE OCEAN sold contributes to a better environment. WINTER & COMPANY also commits to donate 1% of TOILE OCEAN's sales clean water projects.
